CAMP COORDINATION AND CAMP MANAGEMENT

Camp Coordination/Management Cluster Overview

The mission of the CCCM Cluster is: improve living conditions for those living in communal settlements during displacement; ensure their quality of life and dignity during displacement; advocate for durable solutions to end camp-life; and organize closure and phase-out of camps upon IDP return.

The CCCM Cluster supports field operations with tools, guidance and capacity building to coordinate and manage displaced populations effectively.

We are currently redeveloping our website and hope to make it available for use toward the end of April 2013. Our Global CCCM site will make available key CCCM information and resources. It will be a portal to all country-level CCCM cluster activities. It will also have information such as contact details, global cluster partners, links to resources used by IM teams, newsletters, CCCM mission reports, training materials and guidelines.

CCCM Newletter 2nd Edition

This edition provides an update on cluster tools, partners and operations, and highlights issues of current concern to the cluster. In particular, it focuses on the importance of effective partnerships in CCCM operations, and considers how global initiatives such as the Transformative Agenda will impact cluster strategies.
